I’m running about one year behind on updating Betsy Bakes but my daughter, on the other hand, tends to run one year ahead when it comes to planning her birthday cake. When she was three, she told me she wanted a Moana cake for her 4th birthday. The cake would be chocolate and filled with peaches and marshmallows and chocolate chips.

I spent months thinking about how I would get peaches into this type of cake. But luckily for me, a few days before her birthday she changed her mind and told me to nix the peaches.

Phew.

She’s turning five next week and has requested the exact same cake. And is adamant about including peaches.
